Live, Sunday morning, from Seattle
On a quick trip to see family and friends to this beautiful city. It’s cold (compared to the beautiful weather in San Francisco), but not too cold. Spent a couple hours yesterday playing soccer with niece’s youngest kid. Drank some super Washington State red wines with Paul Gregutt at his home in West Seattle, with its drop dead gorgeous view of the Seattle skyscrapers across Puget Sound. Stayed up past midnight singing old rock songs with him and his buddy on electric guitars. Paul and I still argue over Washington vs. California wine but the reds he broke out for me are as rich, ripe and delicious as anything from Napa, with alcohol approaching 15% if not exceeding, so I guess the “California style” has come to Washington. Anyhow, looking forward to getting back home today and resuming my posts on this blog Monday a.m.
